Tensions between Moscow and NATO grow

Russia is inflaming tensions in the region by monitoring NATO's growing number of naval ships in the Black Sea in what is being described as a new cold war. Nato has called on Russia to reverse its decision to formally recognise the two rebel Georgian regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
