Sea Shepherd activist facing arrest in Japan
A New Zealand anti-whaling activist being held on a Japanese harpoon ship he boarded in Antarctic waters last month is likely to be arrested when he arrives in Tokyo harbour today.
Peter Bethune is a member of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and was the captain of the high-tech powerboat Ady Gil, which was sliced in two in a collision with the whaling ship Shonan Maru II in January.
